It's so weird that nobody's talking about the fact that extended camping never really happens in top level smash play.

Outside of week one I can count on my fingers the amount of timeouts I've seen in top 16-32 of majors

If it's happening to you a lot... you're the problem lol
And a big part of why camping is so pervasive is that a lot of players are so bad at giving actual advice and meme "just camp lol" when in reality there's answers but so many players lack the game sense to capitalize on stage positioning when their opponent isn't at the ledge zzz
Yes, not interacting with certain situations is a valid solution and timeouts are a valid win condition

But if you're lacking the ability to play enough rushdown so that you're in a position TO camp, just camping will put a hard cap on your skill in the future
It all comes down to your philosophy in why you're playing. Do you want to push to the top level? It's probably better to learn how to play assertively AND defensively

Do you want to beat most solid-good players and then get dissected? Then get really good at one and get your Ws
Do you. But do it with intentionality and recognize context.

Just wish people would stop defaulting to the easy way out, instead of recognizing other options (and then choosing the easy way out if it still works)
