'Detour' Episode 4, Season 5
I'm a sucker for a "monster in the woods" story. The way they were camouflaged really got me. Also, Scully sings to Mulder in her off-key voice. It's great.

'Squeeze' season 1, episode 3
Probably my favorite human-looking monster. That little smile he does at the end of the episode is ICONIC. Even if you don't watch the xfiles at all, I recommend seeing this episode.

'Beyond the Sea' Season 1, Episode 13
Another apparition. Done really well in my opinion. Makes me think, if I saw a ghost, this is probably how it would go down. Not so much scary as just startling and confusing.
