When the Prophet (pbuh) needed help, he called upon Imam Ali (AS).

The birth of the Ameer (AS).
Born on the 13th of Rajab. It wasn’t a simple birth like any other human. Inside the Ka’aba remained his legacy!
Ali ibn Abu Talib wasn’t only born in the Ka’aba, Allah (swt) infused the spirituality of a nation in the birth of ONE human being.

Fatima bint Asad was pregnant with Ali (AS). Whilst she was performing circulation around the Ka’aba suddenly on one corner, it split open and she was given a push by an unknown force from the behind towards the direction of the opening.

The Prophet made his last public address to the LARGEST gathering before his death three months later.
He then declared “He of whom I am the master (mawla), of him ‘Ali is also the master (mawla). O God, be the friend of him is his friend...

Immediately after, a verse of the Quran was revealed-
“Today I have perfected your religion and completed my favour upon you, and I was satisfied that Islam be your religion” - Quran (5:3)

An Arab came to the Prophet and asked “...but you are not satisfied with all this and you raised your cousin by your hand and imposed him upon us as our master by saying ‘Ali is the mawla of whom I am mawla’.

... the arab then said “O ! If what Muahmmed said is correct then fling on us a stone from the sky and subject us a sever pain and torture”
Allah (swt) then flung at him a stone which struck him on his head, penetrated his body and left him dead.

In this occasion Allah (swt) revealed this verse-
“A questioner questioned about the punishment to fall. Got the disbelievers there is nothing to avert it, from Allah the Lord of the Ascent”

Ali and his shia-
Once we were sitting with the Prophet, when Ali (AS) walked in, the Prophet (pbuh) pointed at Imam Ali (AS) and he said
“Ali and his shia are the victorius ones and they are the best of the creation”.
Furthermore, Allah (swt) reveals this verse that-

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمْ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ (Quran 98:7)
“Whenever an orphan was mocked, attacked, chased or hungry, they ran straight to the house of Imam Ali (AS)”
When Imam Ai (AS) was struck with a poisoned sword, the sky and the earth started trembling, walls of the mosque shook, angel Jibriel called out Imam Ali (AS) has been murdered 
“O Zahra! My sorrows are eternal and my nights are sleepless, until Allah takes me to the same home which you are in now” -Imam Ali (AS)

Imam Ali (AS) at the age of 25 turns to the Prophet (pbuh) and asks him
“O the Prophet of God, what are the best deeds during the month of Ramadhan?”
The Prophet answered him-
“The best deed during this month is piety”

The Prophet started crying and the Ameer (s) asked him
“Why do you cry?”
The Prophet (pbuh) answered him-
“The reason for my crying is because during this month, the Holy month of Ramadhan, your sanctity is going to be preached/violated”

“During thsi month, the most wicked person is going to strike you on your head, while you’re offering your prayers to your Lord, in the mosque and then he will drench you in your blood. It is going to overwhelm, your head and your beard” - Rasool Allah
Imam Ali (AS) turns to the Prophet (pbuh) and says
“When I get killed or murdered. My religion is safe? My piety is safe?”
The Prophet answered “Definitely yes. Yes Ya Ali. Of course”

He then replied-
“Ya Rosool Allah, then I shouldn’t be worried about that”
The Ameer (AS) then awaited for لقاء الله. (Meeting his Lord)

When the Ahlul Bayt started weeping, he told them
“By the Lord, nothing deterred me from death, nothing made me fear that death. I would welcome that death. At the time of my death. I am nothing but as a seaker who found what he was searching for”

“Of course Allah will defend me if He so wills. He has appointed my death to be my guarding angel; no one can harm me before it’s due, and no one can save me when it arrives”

The night before his death-
He spent in the house of his daughter, Al sayeda Um Kalthoom.
She brought to him food and he replied with-

“My dear daughter, this is too much for me. I don’t eat this much food. Do you want me, when I stand before my Lord, I will be held accountable”
He told her give it to someone else. The only thing he took was two loads with some salt. This is how he broke his fast

He spent the WHOLE night in meditation, worshipping. He did not sleep that whole night, a farewell night for him
He was excited he is finally going to stand before Allah (swt).

Every few minutes he would take a break from meditation and look at the sky and say “I never lied to anyone, nor I accept anyone to lie to me”. Before dawn he left his room to go to the mosque.
“Prepare yourself with death. When death comes to you be fully prepared for that. Do not be afraid of death when death lands on your courtyard. The time has its good moments, and it’s difficult moments and you have to go for the reception of the death” as he left the house.
The whole city of Kufa heard the cry of the adhan of the Ameer (AS)
As he was struck when he got up from sujood, he said “By the Ka’aba I have succeded” drenched with his blood.

Imam Hassan and Hussain (AS) rush to the mosque to see their father drenched in blood, they carried him to the house and Lady Zayneb was standing there seeing her father in this shape.
One of the sons of Ameer Al Mu’mineen said “he gathered us around his death bed and he said to us…
“my first instruction to you is that you fear God. You put God before anything, and you follow His instructions. Do not seek the dunya, even if this dunya runs after you...

...Do not feel saddened if u miss something from this dunya. Always speak the truth. Make ur work dedicated to the Hereafter. And to the tyrant, don’t befriend him, be his enemy. Whenever you find someone who’s been neglected, be with him, stand with him, aid him and support him”
“Take care of your prayers with Allah (swt), do not be easy. Make the prayers the most important thing in your life. Be very careful with the Holy book of God…when you see orphans take care of them, don’t neglect them”
“If you see some division between members of the family, try to fix it, try to bring the hearts together. The reconciliation between the hearts is even more rewarding than the voluntary prayers and fasting”
