I’d love to see a comparison of people happy working from home to those who purchased housing situations that easily allow for it.

My biased thoughts wonder if people that have dedicated office or desk space like it more.

I’m tired of spending 18-20hr a day in the same 5ft area
I& #39;ve gotten a lot of great replies on this thread.
Thank you all. I hear and feel all of your situations and we are all in this together!
I have some follow-ups and "in-between the lines" to share on all of this too. :) 1/5
We love living in the city. 5 yr ago we bought a townhome close to everything; walkable, bussable, love it here. Pandemic aside for a moment (since that impacts the effect of living here), the tradeoff we chose was to own a smaller home without dedicated space for "an office" 2/5
I did a redfin search again now (I look all the time... no intention of moving, just to look). There are only 22 homes available in the whole city that have an additional room, similar options, yet not HUGE. Not a lot of options; its not just us. :) 3/5
Its _long_ in the past, but I had an odd situation where hr forced my manager& #39;s hand, blocking WFH in a tough health situation where working from home temporarily (weeks) was best. All worked out ok in the end, but it& #39;s meant my PLANS for WFH have never been in my vision. 4/5
All this means today, I& #39;m on my home PC, remoted into work every day. It works; I can be productive enough to succeed. But it means that I am sitting at the desk next to our bed all day. I _could_ use this space for a dedicated work PC, but we aren& #39;t there yet. Thank you all. 5/5
