What happened to fair use? Particularly egregious from a state broadcaster I’ve literally paid for. We can no longer critique, evaluate or comment on state media. Great stuff👌
Let's analyze 'The Asylum Industry' which garnered 15K views on YouTube, mostly people directly affected -"Everything I have learned about the Asylum Industry in Ireland and how it's forced on marginalized rural communities through a system of state intimidation and manipulation"
(1/3) 2 hour piece comprised almost entirely of my own research and footage. Commentary on 3 separate RTE clips for a combined 4mins 53sec playing the clips for a mere 59 secs. It's fair use if the term is to have any meaning. Link to full vid: https://www.bitchute.com/video/Tk6d2HpZZZRy/

Cherry on top - RTE News ran my video on 14/09/2019 as the *central element* of their top story, without asking or crediting me. Not only do they take my TV licence bucks but they earn advertising money from my work. And then have the balls to make erroneous copyright claims!
RTE manually identified the content which I spent 2mins35 commenting on and 45seconds playing, in my own 2hour documentary which I uploaded 10 months ago.

Why?
Can you clarify RTEs standard for 'fair use' online and a justification for this copyright claim? @ThomasFayne @RTERadio1 @rte @BAItweets
