If you could ban one thing from academia, what would it be?

I'll go first: asking questions that aren't questions.

(I'm looking at the person who jumps at the chance to make the presenter sweat, just because)

Things I'd immediately ban from academia if I could:

- The normalization of poor mental health (absolutely NOTHING is 'normal' about the fact that grad students are 6x more likely to experience depression)

- Our idolization extremely unhealthy & unbalanced work habits

You know what, on second thought, let's not just pick one thing: there's enough wrong with academia for all of us to choose a few
