I'm pretty sure Google's reputation for killing its products is a growing factor to Google products failing.
I know it is for Google Cloud Platform. Plenty of IT decisionmakers don't want to depend on a service that could be gone next year. Which is a shame, GCP is really neat.

I wonder if it's the same deal with Stadia. I can easily imagine that Google showed this thing to a ton of AAA publishers and was basically told "Cool tech, but you'll kill it in a year anyway."
