When I was thirteen, my brothers, who I hardly knew due to them being incarcerated so often, decided it was time for me to "get head." I was always seen as a "soft" kid, and, for them, pu**y is what I needed. In the backseat, scared as hell, I trembled as the sex worker they
called over in the 7-11parking lot approached the car. It being the height of the AIDS and crack epidemic certainly added to my fear and, quite frankly, disgust, but I felt like I had to do what my brothers wished. Explaining to the sex worker what they wanted, she, a woman who
didn't look well at all, took a glimpse at me in the back seat, and said "Y'all are fucking crazy. Get that baby out of here!" I was so relieved. All these years later, I thank that woman for having the humanity my brothers should have had - humanity that folks like Boosie should
have. I wish his children well.
