RT [locked] Govt's early declared intention was to shield elderly and allow virus to circulate elsewhere. We are now in the precise opposite situation with the public being shielded from something which is barely in the community, and elderly people dying alone by the thousand.

If you look at the registered weekly mortality by age group, it's been getting more and more concentrated in the old over time, and an ever-greater proportion of deaths have been taking place in care homes.

Will say one thing in addition to this: can anyone even *name* a private care home company? I think that tells you how effectively they've avoided scrutiny for the deaths of what looks like in the tens of thousands of people in their care.
