Lawn is the most comfortable material for summers, & all year round if you're a KHIite. Women can't wear banyan even in their homes like men hence lawn's popularity. You'd hear women say they prefer an old lawn kameez over tshirt in summers b/c it's actually more airy.
Plus, readymade clothes offered by brands save working women+homemakers darzi kay chakkar. When we were younger, I remember lawn suits were v basic cause like 2 brands. Now lawn can work for homes, offices, parties even weddings--when it was cotton for latter three in summers.
So pls analyse trends, I'm v interested. Is it b/c more women in workforce & who want readymade? Do lawn shoppers exclusively shop for lawn more or spend more on say wedding dresses too? Does the middle class save on readymade lawn suits or no? Is consumerism desi woman's go-to>
