Firstly I’d like to give y’all a short explanation of this thread. Seunghyun will go down in history as one of Korea’s greatest rappers. Y’all can argue amongst yourselves if you believe that or not. All I’m saying is this guy is pretty fucking Legenedary!

This thread is dedicated to the most complexed person I’ve ever seen since Michael Jackson. He is a king of k-rap (let’s be real). Now I spoke about how Seunghyun is a very complexed artist. His sound is very unique. NO ONE CAN DEFEAT HIM.

Now since we got that out the way let’s talk business! I am gonna give y’all 7 (lucky number. We tryna get a solo album y’all we need all the help we can get

) examples of the power this man has lyrically. Let’s begin!

1. Still Alive (How Ironic)

This verse will forever be ingrained in my brain. The baritone voice. The bars. The pronunciations. The set up.

I wasn’t here for the Alive era but damnit I feel the power. When I first got into BB I didn’t even know about eras like everyone else. But I saw the transition in Seunghyun’s verses. There was something raw coming out of this man but in an advanced way of that makes sense.

2012 was a revamp of BB. Seunghyun came back HELLA strong. This verse made me realize Seunghyun is not just a rapper or idol. He is a fucking MASTERMIND.

2. Hallelujah

This performance was in 2010 at the BigBang Show. Shhhh don’t say shit....just listen

There are not many K-Rappers that can have this form of confidence and power behind their voice. Y’all notice how I keep saying “power”? Because that’s what he has. Just listen to him on your free time over and over. You will ascend

3. Loser

How can you listen to this song and not be sad?

When I first heard this song and was looking at the lyrics as I listened, I realized Seunghyun’s part is very different from the others. This is a great example of how he can morph his flow to blend with the others perfectly.

To the untrained (locals) ears this sounds like nothing. But if you listen to this song over and over multiple times in a row in an enclosed space you will hear HIM.

4. Fxxk It

Fxxk It isn’t a serious song but you can tell Seunghyun meant wtf he said and he’ll say it again.

5. MY FUCKING SONG GIRLFRIEND (Girlfriend haters gon be triggered)

This fucking song almost didn’t make the cut but I’m glad it did! Seunghyun’s verses saved this song

There’s a lot of important parts of this verse specifically.

In all seriousness, both of his verses in this song show 2 versions of T.O.P. The first one (up above for the uncultured) shows his “hey this is sexy TOP listen to my whisper tone” and the second one is like “alright fuck it, call me ZADDDYYYY” ya feel me? No?

6. Powerhouse Bang Bang Bang

Y’all remember when NK used this song as intimidation?

This verse is very important to me specifically. Why? Because it’s literally my introduction to Choi Seunghyun aka TOP. I was blown tf away and I really was scared of this man at first...that’s why I liked Youngbae as an ult for like 3 weeks

...TBH I’m still scared of this man but in a good way

Anywhore, This verse shows the TOP that only comes out every once in awhile. Cowboy Choi will FUCK YOU UP. I mean damn like let us BREATHE. The ending of this verse let’s you know this mufucka was not PLAYING

Let’s look at the music & lyrics briefly.

This man put “Hakuna Matata” in his song like we wasn’t gonna notice. And the way he knows what my fav Disney movie is just takes my breath away

Also as soon as this man said “Mass Media” we should’ve held tf on to our seats cause WTF WAS THAT HUNNY?!

This man socked our asses out with that verse! He literally ate us, chewed then spit us tf back out with a new thought process on life. WHO TF DOES HE THINK HE IS?! Not to mention the amount of symbolism in this song that we have yet to completely understand.
