I hope people understand how life changing this is for us & our loved ones. We can still do meaningful important work, spend time with our families, + invest time into ourselves, etc. This is no small thing. This will impact our lives in such positive ways https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/alexkantrowitz/twitter-will-allow-employees-to-work-at-home-forever
And for all the folks (like me!) who have been for decades locked into limited living spaces or locked out of desirable, affordable neighborhoods due to needed proximity to NYC (or other large metro areas) this finally breaks down those barriers to a higher quality of life 🙏🏽🏡
I know we Tweeps say we are grateful often but I hope people understand the magnitude of a company that leads with humanity. The decisions this company made today will affect my life and my daughter’s life, my family’s life for the better for years to come. Beyond grateful. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
1 last thing: I’m glad that Twitter will still have offices, & that Tweeps (Twitter employees) who would rather choose to go in (or need to) will have that option after we can safely reopen. This also allows us to still work w/our amazing facilities, security & food service teams
