the boyz speaking out against a typically conservative korean society and talking about “taboo” topics such as depression.... legends i think
the boyz are really trying to express their vulnerability in this concept, speaking out about some of their their deepest insecurities. that’s what generation z is all about. not being afraid of speaking about topics that people would turn their nose up to and ignore.
not even that but showing their true selves. jacob and juyeon saying they don’t doesn’t want to always be called nice, that they have feeling and can get angry but are afraid to. chanhee is afraid to express himself and be sensitive.
eric and kevin are known for being happy but there’s more to them than that, that they can feel sad as well.
but it also talks about growth. how sunwoo doesn’t take out his insecurities on himself anymore but instead turns them into something to work on, to make better of himself. sangyeon accepting that being simple is enough if he is happy and does well.
hyunjae doesn’t hold his thoughts and feelings back become he knows the situation will only get worse if he does.
it’s called identify film for a reason. each aspect of the boyz is revealed on a personal level. their wants and desires, whether it be as simple as continuing to be great or aiming for higher achievements such as billboard.
the connection of the artist to the fan is very special, and that’s what makes me proud to be a deobi. that’s why i’m proud of the boyz.
