If walking/leaning over the graves can cause pain and harm to the inhabitants of the grave.

Imagine how much pain the Wahabis have caused to the Blessed Sahaba and the Ahlul Bayt when they demolished their graves (twice)
SubhānAllāh.

Here is some ahādīth to prove so.
Imām Aḥmad رضي الله عنه narrates the following Ḥadīth in his
Musnad with a chain of transmission (graded Ḥasan) on the
authority of Sayyidunā ʿAmr ibn Ḥazm g who relates:

“The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ saw me leaning against a grave and so he said,
‘Do not cause pain to the occupant of this grave’ (or, he ﷺ
said) ‘Do not discomfort him.’”

Musnad - Imām Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal, Mishkāt al-Maṣābīḥ – Bāb Dafn al-Mayyit, Pg. 149
Al-Ḥākim and al-Ṭabarānī relate on the authority of

Sayyidunā ʿUmārah ibn Ḥazm رضي الله عنه
who reports:

“The Messenger of Allāhﷺ once saw me sat on a grave and thus instructed:

“O he who sits upon the grave, get of it; do not harm the person in the grave and let
Him Not harm you either."

al-Mustadrak – al-Ḥākim – Kitāb Maʿrifah al-Ṣaḥābah, Dhikr ʿUmārah ibn Ḥazm al-
Anṣārī, Ḥadīth #6502.
Also cited by Imām al-Suyūṭī in his Sharḥ al-Ṣudūr – Bāb
Ta’adhīhī bi-Sā’ir Wujūh al-Adhā – Pg. 296
Imām al-Bayhaqī in his Dalā’il al-Nubuwwah and Imām
Ibn Abī al-Dunyā both narrate from Sayyidunā ʿUthmān al-
Nahdī, who relates from Sayyidunā Ibn Minā al-Tābiʿī, who narrates thus:
“I once went to the graveyard and after ofering two rakʿahs (naf) ṣalāh,
I laid down to rest.
By Allāh! I was (still) wide awake when I heard the occupant of a grave call out,

‘Get up (and move) as you are inficting pain upon me!’
Dalā’il al-Nubuwwah – al-Bayhaqī - Bāb mā Jā’ fī al-Rajul Samiʿa Ṣāḥib al-Qabr – Vol. 7,
Pg. 40, Sharḥ al-Ṣudūr – Pg. 211
There are many more accounts as mentioned by Imām al-Suyūṭī in his
Sharḥ al-Ṣudūr but for the sake of brevity this shall suffice.
