Tweeting this has shown me there are so many people still very happy to dismiss and minimise such blatant racism. To those people, from the bottom of my heart I say fuck you. There are no more niceties. So truly, thank you for showing your real colours

Imagine having access to the INTERNET to tweet me and say “but we don’t know about blackface here, so it’s not racist.” IGNORANCE IS NEVER A DEFENCE. You’d never say “I’m sorry for killing him judge, but don’t punish me - I didn’t know that murder is bad or a crime”

You have a global access to knowledge, to people. You have POCs like me advising you this is racist, time and time again. So no, you can’t plead ignorance anymore. You know, and always known this isn’t right. So now you’re complicit.
