A Korean erotic historical film of 2008. This historical film is set during Goryeo Dynasty.

It all started when the King of Goryeo is pressured to produce a successor to the throne, but the king is in love with his loyal general named Hong-Lim . The King then asks his lover to sleep with the Queen with unexpected consequence.

#TheKingandTheClown (왕의 남자) a 2005 South Korean historical drama film, That was adapted from the 2000 stage play, Yi ("You").

Starring
Kam Woo-sung as Jang-saeng
Lee Joon-gi as Gong-gil
Jung Jin-young as King Yeonsan

The story is set in the late 15th century of Joseon Dynasty under the reign of King Yeon-san. Jang-saeng and Gong-gil are street acrobat performers or called as clowns clowns during that period. Gong-gil is known for his feminine appearance and plays female roles in their acts.

making fun of the King. This of course gets them into trouble and arrested, however they are given another chance: if they can make the King laugh. In the end not only does the King become especially impressed, he also fascinated with Gong-gil’s presence.

King’s affection grows for Gong-gil so does Jang-saeng and Jang Nok-su’s jealousy and a series of unfortunate happenings unwrap.

Tragedy, deep and open. These are some words I can think of about this film. Truly a masterpiece in it's genre.
