Today's
log (6:43 PM): Manila's lockdown is officially one of the world's longest.
âI donât think we can afford to keep on extending the quarantine,â says @ProfRUM, âsince this was only supposed to buy us time to contain the virus in the first place.â https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/05/12/coronavirus-update-us/

Other stuff in this log: @UPResilience Institute cited "alarming errors" in government data, including 500+ cases that were reclassified into different or nonexistent cities, a death that was retracted overnight, and conflicting data between local government and Health Dep't.
Meanwhile, over 50 organizations signed onto a petition proposing a comprehensive transport plan. The Move as One Coalition warned the public transport system is a "ticking timebomb" and reopening it as is could cost over $10 billion and endanger millions. https://twitter.com/AltMobilityPH/status/1259836805010149382?s=20
Update: @DOHgovph and @thinkdatasci responded to the data discrepancies flagged by @UPResilience, saying corrections are being made and those errors were in "less than one percent of the whole data set."
