renjun saw dream before as rookies and envied them for having the chance to debut. when he got a last minute email from sm offering him to join audition, he had to beg his parents to allow him. he then had to take a 3 HOUR TRAIN RIDE just so he could arrive at the venue on time.

chenle was offered by sm itself to join dream but his mom refused bc back then she didn't know what sm was and she wanted him to pursue his studies. his dad then informed them that he knows sm and so they got a phone call again from sm and chenle was finally able to join dream.

putting renle's casting stories together, i can't help but to think how the universe conspired to debut 7dream into one group. don't even get me started on chenji's meeting in beijing prior to these events... all of them are truly meant to perform on one stage.
