**Let’s say Nigeria’s population is 400M

If each citizen was to get a million each, they would collect 600 Million Naira change from 1 Billion.

Imagine if an amount was set asides from the national budget just for the citizens.

Imagine making sure each citizen is entitled to a million every year. Regardless of the age I guess. You’re sure you’re going to get 1 million Naira every year from your government. That’s at most 500M yearly

And people would say this is impossible but it’s very possible.

There are multiple ways around this, you can have two agencies that manage minors and Adults

For the Minors, the parents would have to go register their kids and link their accounts in case of death from any side funds would be easily managed.

The funds in the minors account, minors now (3months-17years) would strictly be directed towards education, health care, clothing, feeding etc. only a particular % can be withdrawn. So it ensures security still, you know if your child is sick the government has made arrangements

This funds accumulate over the years by age 18 there’s an account transfer to the other agency that would manage adult funds. The management would be similar only that there’s a bit of freedom here. You’re allowed to customize your account to meet your need at that moment in time

This would definitely create jobs for people, there would be money in the economy. You don’t want people to hawk, you don’t want bike drivers, you don’t want this you don’t want that.

Support your citizens and see what would happen. Would someone who knows he has a million somewhere hawk on a major highway,do you think these people want to do that. People that want to study would study, if you want to be an entrepreneur fine do it.

In the long run, private companies would come up to for funds management. If you’re not satisfied with how the government agencies are managing your funds you can apply for account to be moved to another agency, of cause it comes at a cost.

Private funds managers would obviously come in different classes, some would be top notch, some wack. So it’s still up to you to decide if you would use the government or not. It’s just that simple

The private companies would obviously have to get some sort of License to be able to do that and Sooners to renew probably annually or at a specific time frame, maybe a decade.

These agencies would also have to be reviewed periodically to checkmate some things. How they manage people’s funds is not our business but we must be use they have the best interest of the clients and there’s no from of embezzlement.

Funds of deceased clients must be channeled to the next of kin ASAP. Different forms of corruption would come up so ways to checkmate them would have to be thought about throughly.

I know as power change hands the amount can increase or decrease based on how the economy is but I know Nigeria has no reason to decrease this funds. It’s just like a salary paid to you for being a Nigerian.

People would be eager to do their National IDs, watch crime rate drop, watch begging stop, a lot of things would totally be eradicated in 2-3years

Thought new problems would come up, but they would be expected and ways to manage them would be available and efficient enough to stop it from reoccurring.

My point is just that we have the capacity to do the these things. Nigerians don’t deserve to suffer.
