I had a panel accepted for #AHA2021, on Hindutva and historiography. The panel aims to open up a much-needed conversation on #Hindutva attempts to influence scholarship and intimidate scholars. This is a subject important for the discipline of history as a whole.

The @AHAhistorians was frank that they remain uncertain whether the scheduled conference for Seattle in January 2021 will proceed.

Regardless, some of us are committed to talking openly about how #Hindutva ideology attempts to constrict and alter our narratives of the past.

Specifically, some of us want to talk more about how #Hindutva seeks to puts pressure on the US academy. This trend is a threat to the discipline of history overall.
