Git for ideas. Version control for thoughts? This is what academic journals are supposed to be for but there is a question there of speed, access, and gate keeping. Also disciplines can becomes isolated. Really interested in this concept. http://www.uprtcl.io/
Though the amount of time, work, oversight, and peer review to get a part in a journal are pretty significant version control procedures for articulating insights thoroughly ... when done well and justly.
