Dommes, can we talk about best practices for when we start playing in person again? Actual medical folks are welcome to chime in here or via DM.
Thanks everyone for the replies so far. I’ve been considering a few things for SDO including limiting sessions to 1x/day; sanitizing/disinfecting gear then quarantining it for 48 hours; mandatory masks (or hoods 😉) and thorough space cleaning protocols before and after a scene.
I’m grateful for my autoclave & UV sanitizer, not to mention the hand sanitizer, alcohol, and hospital grade disinfectants I was already using and stocking before this pandemic (find yourself in an apocalypse? Look for the dungeons!). Low volume, lots of gear options helps too.
As I order $200 in gloves and wipes right now, I want to remind everyone to SUPPORT YOUR INDEPENDENT PLAY SPACES!! Whether you’re a client or renter, DONATE to your favorite providers/studio owners: we’re covering rent, supplies, equipment with no income, no govt funds.
And as you can see from the dommes on this thread we are ALL interested and actively engaged in keeping you and ourselves safe. Even without a pandemic, we take cleaning and sanitizing seriously. Please respect our work, our efforts, and our commitment to our community. DONATE.
Came across this, which includes a useful guide for identifying someone’s specific risk tolerance level. I expect I’ll be sharing it with prospective play partners to gauge where they’re at before agreeing to meet. https://medium.com/@evelindacker/covid-care-e2ede67428d4
