what makes me sad is that i want the world to be a better place, i want people to be better. I want to be better and lord knows i have a long way to go. but so many people [the internet] treat everything so black and white, it's like a game of who is the most righteous.

and because of that conversation around sensitive topics lack nuance. people can't be complex or have flaws. you might think someone is awful but if you were in their position you might do the same or worse. i'm constantly learning and reconciling with this.

i guess i'm just echoing the argument against cancel culture but idk there's a difference btwn someone who is genuinely BAD to their core and someone who has good intentions but has a lot to learn. not to bring hp into this but the world isnt split into good people & death eaters
