I just found a “time capsule” from when I was in 5th grade. I remember our whole class made them and everyone wrote notes to each other to open when we were all older.
I remember being heartbroken because no one put any notes in my box.

There were only 3 notes in my box.
“I’ll miss you” from an acquaintance. And “sorry I can’t think right now” from a girl I considered my best friend.
But I wasn’t her best friend.

The point of this thread is to say thank you. When I was in 5th grade having friends was a distant dream.
But now, as I’m about to turn 18 years old, I can finally say it.
I have friends.

I wish I could turn back time and tell 5th grade Olivia to not be so sad. That things will work out in the end. Because they did.
