- YA fantasy isn’t my fav genre but it is a really good story
- would read the second book

- THE REPRESENTATION
- THE FLAVOR
- lgbtq+
- talks about so many struggles but highlights the beauty in all of them
- will make you cry

- gives off “All the bright places” vibes
- looking at this thread apparently everything makes me cry but ... this made me cry :)

This is where it ends:
- i have never been so moved by a book in my whole life
- talks about a school shooting (not too graphic but still)
- you literally feel like you’re in the book
- this is the type of book that sticks with you for a long time
- THIS STORY HURTS A LOT

They Both Die At The End:
- set in a world where you get a phone call telling you ur gonna die today
- yk the ending which makes the whole thing more exciting and nerve wracking
- gives povs of everyone the main characters affected
- sooooo well written
- THE ENDING HURT

One of Us Is Lying:
- criminal minds on crack
- the breakfast club if one of them was murdered
- i still can’t get over the ending
- CAN WE TALK ABOUT ADDY’S CHARACTER GROWTH THO

The Hunger Games:
- currently going back through my middle school phase
- i forgot how good of a writer suzanne collins is
- this series is iconic in every way

Catching Fire:
- peeta mellark is so precious
- there was so much that was missing from the movie it felt like i was reading a whole new story
- i believe in finnick odair supremacy

Mockingjay:
- if there’s one thing this series taught me, it’s to never trust white men in power.
- Gale was getting on my nerves for most of the book
- FINNICK
- why did she call her kids “the boy” and “the girl”???
- very easy read tho

Throne Of Glass:
- oh. my. god.
- easily the best book i’ve ever read
- celaena is my new icon
- DORIAN AND CHAOL THO
- sarah j maas is such a beautiful writer.
- every twist is more surprising than the one before it
- just ... WOW

Crown of midnight:
- sjm, and i cannot stress this enough, COUNT YOUR DAYS.
- i’ve never been more mind fucked in my entire life
- legit had to take a break halfway through bcz i was gonna have a breakdown
- CHAOL
- AELIN is my new icon

A Court Of Thorns And Roses:
- was slow at the beginning
- too much description but i get why it was needed
- thank your rhysand for making the story A LOT more interesting
- yo i felt like megamind when i solved the riddle before feyre
- everything after chapter 26 is bomb

A Court Of Mist And Fury:
- take a shot everytime it says “my mate” or “made love”
- rhysand WRECKED me
- FUCK TAMLIN ME AND MY HOMIES HATE TAMLIN
- i’m genuinely speechless at the ending

A Court Of Wings And Ruin:
- i want what feysand have
- can i plz be part of the inner circle
- (spoiler???) OF COURSE MOR WASNT STRAIGHT, SHES TOO POWERFUL TO BE ATTRACTED TO MEN
- can i give azriel a hug???

Turtles All The Way Down:
- the way john green talks about anxiety is scarily accurate
- gave me a better insight on how OCD affects ppl
- the plot was kinda bland
- would’ve been more impactful if the focus was on mental health, bcz he writes about it in such a beautiful way.

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe:
- THIS IS WHAT JOHN GREEN WISHES HE COULD WRITE
- the fact that it’s about a mexican boy in texas in the 80’s and i STILL found it so relatable says a lot
- it makes you feel less alone
- one my favorite contemporaries

Heir of Fire:
- CAN ONE OF THESE BOOKS NOT END WITHT 20 PLOT TWISTS
- this is an anxiety attack of a book
- okay rowaelin ;)
- can we plz appreciate dorian’s character growth
- istg chaol is like the matt (tvd) of the story
- just when i think the king can’t get worse, HE DOES

Normal People:
- sooooooo overhyped
- could not finish it
- the whole story is “i love you ... actually nevermind”
- this was supposed to get me out of a reading slump NOT BACK INTO IT

The Song of Achilles:
- the story is amazing
- the writing is pure poetry
- it took 10 years to write and IT SHOWS
- the most beautiful book i’ve ever read
- Patroclus and achilles have my whole heart
- 10000% better than any “classic”
- i already wanna reread it

The Assassin’s Blade:
- really interesting seeing celaena’s life before endovier
- sam cortland is the blueprint
- don’t think i didn’t notice the subtle dorian and chaol cameo
- arobynn is NOT the blueprint

Queen of Shadows:
- chaol was just gaslighting her the whole time
- LYSANDRA IS WHO I WANNA BE
- dorian’s pov broke my heart
- rowan can like ... get it
- i still haven’t warmed up to manon
- also, perrington is WHO?!
- i dare say this is the best book in the series so far

Empire of Storms
- love how dorian fucked a witch just cuz he could
- RLLY ROWAELIN, ON THE BEACH???
- the amount of plot twists sjm squeezed into the last 100 pages
- the ending was acomaf but 100 times worse
- from all the books on this thread, this one made me sob the hardest
