as mom day comes to a close:

despite any disconnection i’ve felt with my mom over the years, i love her so much. every time i’ve sat down and talked with my mom has been a blessing i will ALWAYS cherish. she’s funny, sweet, and taught me in many ways how to be a good person.

i inherit some of what i think are my best traits from my mom. she’s compassionate, extremely empathetic, has an ability to connect with people on multiple levels, and just.. feels for people. These are things i wouldn’t trade even if it meant no more anxiety.

she will probably never see this thread, but one day i hope i can build up the courage to tell her these things. maybe i’ll write her a letter. point being, i love you mom. you mean so much more than you think to me, and many others. never change the way you feel for others.
