I don’t operate well within the “hustle” and “grind” mentality.
As someone wired for achievement, the “hustle” and “grind” mentality puts me in a place where I begin to lose myself in my work and become blinded to the relationships in my life that really matter—most importantly my relationship to myself.
The more I lose myself in my work, the more susceptible I am to burnout. Therefore, it’s important for me to exist from a place of love. To move in the direction of, and pursue, the things I love.
From a foundation of love, it’s important for me to be gracious towards myself and let the things I choose to pursue be what they’re going to be. I can’t force love. It has to be freely given and openly received.
I rest in knowing I’m already accepted. I’m already loved. Nothing I do or don’t do will ever change that.

This feels like freedom.
