The Quran was only codified after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, and it was from Hafsa, a woman's copy that gave birth to its current form as a religious book.

Frankly, I wish they didn't burn the alternative records of Surahs/sayings of the Prophet.

It would've made a significantly richer diversity of religious literature to dive into as it is we're limited to what survived.

At least the Vatican kept theirs inside vaults.
