Everything you don't consume should make the rest of society richer. After all, it is one more thing that doesn't need to be made, and that labor can make something useful for someone else. But capitalism is so irrational that decreasing our consumption makes other people poorer.

Everyone should want their job to be eliminated. Everyone should be happy that they no longer have to produce as much. Everyone should be thrilled if machines replace them.

They aren't because we live in an irrational system ruled by game theory and designed to benefit the rich.
