Ochako was a bit surprised when she saw the application.

It wasn't like she had never had a U.A. graduate apply to her agency to be a sidekick. Being in the top twenty, it was actually a regular occurrence for her.
But this was U.A.'s top graduate, an explosive beast who'd already managed to make a name for himself before graduating.

With each sports festival, Ochako had watched this boy evolve into a hero. He certainly knew how to stand out, and Ochako firmly believed he was one of
the few who could go solo straight out of high school without any trouble at all.

So, yeah. She was a little surprised to see Bakugou Katsuki's application to the Uravity agency.
She would be an idiot to pass this up, however, so she called him in for an interview and offered him a spot on her team as a sidekick.

She was surprised again when he accepted. He probably had all sorts of offers lined up after all.
"Our agency has a gym, and we rotate training hours," she explained to him as she gave him the grand tour. He was a reserved person, she was quickly coming to find out. Confident, but reserved. But for some reason, probably due to how he yelled and screamed at his opponents to
'die', she expected him to have more of a mouth on him. To be loud and overbearing. "I'll be training with you personally at first to assess where you'd best fit in this agency."

"The only place you'll want me is next to you," he assured firmly, a quiet smirk on his face.
Ochako paused, face flushing despite herself and completely unsure of how to respond. There was a suggestion in his tone, one she wasn't sure he even meant to be there.
"Well," Ochako said with pursed lips, nodding towards the gym, "why don't we see what you can do then, Ground Zero."

He flashed her a smile, and Ochako could see that the promise of a fight excited him.
"You won't be disappointed, angel face. Been dying to get my hands on you anyway."

Ochako narrowed her eyes in suspicion.

Was he... /flirting/ with her?

"Please keep your words professional," she reprimanded. "And I assure you: you won't be laying a finger on me."
They took to the sparring mats, no quirks, and within two minutes Ochako had him pinned in a camel clutch.

Needless to say, Bakugou wasn't immediately placed as her primary sidekick much to his chagrin and to her amusement.

And it most certainly did not stop his flirty attitude. If it weren't for his work ethic, Ochako would have been worried he only applied to her agency because
of his little 'crush' on her.

It's not like she couldn't see his potential—he put up a fight without his quirk, and was practically unstoppable /with/ it. And he was professional when it mattered—he took every mission seriously and was clawing his way onto the charts despite
being a sidekick.

But his ego needed to be taken down a peg or five, and he also needed to realize that he couldn't get away with so blatantly coming onto his boss.

And she wasn't charmed by it. She /wasn't/. He was seven years younger than her, and she /would not be charmed/!
She did /not/ find it cute whenever he would pout about not being placed next to her on missions. She did /not/ like watching him squirm whenever she'd successfully pin him—it was just payback for all of his snide and flirtatious remarks. She was /not/ encouraging him.
So what if she kept scheduling their training times together? She was asserting dominance, and she knew no better way to do that than throwing him over her shoulder without using her quirk. And it never failed to shut him up.
It was after a month of beating his ass on the mats, that he finally approached her with his tail between his legs.

"Oi," he rumbled during their water break, glaring at her with a red face, "teach me some of your moves."
As his boss and as someone invested in his growth as a hero, of course she had to say yes.
