for about 2 years ive had dreams in what i call auou (alternate universe ogleth*rpe university) and it's kinda really uncanny but welcoming. here is some of the things that are in it:
i'll start with the uncanny:
--there is a baseball field behind hearst. it is completely abandoned. it is on a stretch of dusty road that leads back to greek row
--to get to greek row you have to pass a set of abandoned houses with stone angel statues in the lawns.

ive never visited greek row in my dreams before but maybe one day i will. anyway. that baseball field is very red and dusty and like the kind kids would play at.
--hearst is... well, it's kinda like a lodge. theres a great open space like hearst hall but it has a very long table and if you go through a side hallway it leads to a back door similar to an old house and there's a bathroom with a tub and shower in it. i've showered there.
hearst is large and often i've gone to it and people will remark about how i've been to germany? or how i havent been back since i've been to germany? anyway.
--jobe is very very tall. like my old high school, every floor has a balcony over this little courtyard with a pool. the pool is always covered in leaves and it is a simple rectangle. jobe has very large suites that have tall bar areas and tall tables. very postmodern in style
it has the colors of terracotta orange and turquoise. there are lots of windows. ive really only visited the top floor of it, but it is very nice!
--jacobs and alumni are mainly the same in appearance on the front. jacobs is on the top of a hill that goes down to the pool and alumni is slightly down the hill but in the same space, to jacobs' right. the rooms are VERY much larger, but ive only been in a friend's room there.
again, there are lots of windows. it's a very welcoming space. there were fabric hammocks and it was like the rooms' walls had been knocked down and it is just this one big space. occasionally i move in here but i always have my own room.
SCHMIDT HOWEVER! there is a completely different setting. my freshman dorm room is at the top of schmidt nestled into its own area so that windows are on three sides of the room. beneath this is a long, well-mowed lawn and there are often alumni parties thrown there.
--the library is TRICKY! i'm constantly getting bamboozled when i go there! usually it's stressful and im going in between classes. i get very dizzy and lost when i go deep into it, and it's very narrow and there are a LOT of books.
--the caf is circular. there are two entrances/exits on opposite sides of the circle and on both sides of those are little areas where you can get desserts over a counter like at kr*ger or smth
--attached is the bookstore which is just a very empty space full of boxes on shelves

--theres also a building where i have had stress dreams about moving into. that area has tilted ceilings and very slender rooms and dead end hallways in the rooms. the furniture is very metal-oriented.
if youve read this whole thread thanks? i dont know what youve gotten out of this. i'll update if i remember more things
omfg i forgot the church. there’s a one room church with a porch swing and a willow tree across from the baseball field, i’ve never been inside
