hi - senior in art school here. dont go to art school if it will be online. use the time to make stuff

i would not trade my RISD education with anything - i’m at a place in my art that i would not have gotten without my extremely talented peers, the advice and instruction from my professors (some of whom have changed my life, literally), and the bonkers facilities & equipment

but i’m telling you online risd is not really the same experience. i’m grateful to see my friends and professors on zoom and grateful to still be getting crit, but i dont think anyone can really say its the same as getting your hands dirty in studio and having work properly seen

take the year to make things, experiment, get inspired, rest. art will come, and if you’d still like to attend art school (and genuinely high praises for it from me!) it will still be here when you are ready
