As a company, Sahms and Big Lug are working daily to get our ducks in a row to reopen.

But here is my biggest concern..... you. You the reader out there rolling their eyes at this post. The person who goes out without a mask because you don’t want to look “stupid”.
You the reader who won’t shop at a store because they asked you to adhere to (albeit lax) social distancing measures. You the reader who still thinks this is only about your health,
and not of those who have much more risk but don’t have the funds to get deliveries or who can’t stay home or else bills won’t get paid.
If I had a 100% certainty that everyone would wear a mask, wash their hands, clean up after themselves in a responsible way, sneeze correctly, make sure their kids don’t touch one billion things, and so on, I would gladly open my doors.
But sadly, this ain’t the case. Our culture tends to forget about things in a hurry. A restaurant has about a week before customers ask what’s new down the street. Apparently a virus has about two months before we start to look to the next thing to be interested in. So it goes *.
My father and myself have built restaurants that give, and give, and give. We don’t accept no as answer from our staff or ourselves when it comes to getting the customer something. We feed you no matter what.
We deal with grumpy grandpa, drunk Karen, poop pants baby, grandma hitting accelerate and crashing into our building (3 times), we deal with sooooooooo much, and almost never ask for anything in return other than the bill getting paid.
But here’s the ask: Get on board or stay out.

Our staffs mean so much to us, and we’ve already had to make major cuts. None of them easy. Many people on our staff still have no answers, mainly because we are confused as restaurateurs. We don’t have any answers.
We don’t know anything about this virus other than that’s it’s dangerous and that it’s up to each of us to slow it down to protect our community.
So as we enter in to opening up to what we love to do, serve food and drinks at our places, we ask that you do some research on how to properly protect others from *you* as you go back out. We need you get a little uncomfortable and change with the rules alongside us.
Help us out. Cause if not, I swear to god I’m publicly shaming your ass just like I have done to Yelp for 9 years.
