Leaving Home In Troubled Times - A Thread

I don& #39;t go out much. Truly essential trips and nothing more. Today I needed something from the computer store & groceries

My area is under "safer at home" & mandatory masks

I didn& #39;t go anywhere that wasn& #39;t open during the more restrictive "stay at home" mandates

First - the computer store

Big signs about wearing masks. Table at the entrance with someone to spray your hands with Sanitizer & paper masks for those who needed them

2/8
The aisles weren& #39;t marked one way only & the quarters are tight. There were tape marks in the aisles to encourage distancing

#PlagueRats were not wearing masks & paying no attention to the marks. Not many but a few.

Dollar Store was fine. Almost everyone was wearing a mask & keeping distance. Except one young Hipster couple. I guess masks would have harshed their vibe or something

4/8
The grocery store. Oh geez the grocery store. Signs to wear masks & one way aisles well marked

More #PlagueRats not wearing masks, paying no attention to one way signs or social distancing

Many more of them

The police can ticket people not wearing masks. There& #39;s a catch. The stores have to ask them to to it. The stores won& #39;t risk alienating their customers by forcing the issue

So no one is going to enforce the requirement until our cases spike again

6/8
More people will die or run up hospital bills that will bankrupt them. Unemployment will stay at record highs. Businesses will be forced to close

It& #39;s going to happen anyway but being sensible might lessen the damage

7/8
The moral of this thread is that some people are going to ruin it for the rest of us because they can& #39;t be bothered to take some basic precautions

Those will be the first ones to protest putting the restrictions again too

Wear your damn mask
