If the COVID quarantine hadn't of affected the stock market, it wouldn't have triggered a political crisis.

It wasn't the employment crisis and conditions that got to congress. It wasn't the cultural loss. It was the DOW that got Chuck, Nancy, Mitch, and Donald moving.

This means that response is going to be tailored to the stock market, not as a symptom of the problem, but as the problem, then recasting all other problems as unfortunate collateral damage.

This is what the poverty of American social and political culture looks like.
