This is a thread for people to share what they have sacrificed to COVID-19, in hopes of making the selfish few who refuse to even be mildly inconvenienced feel shame for their disgusting inhumanity. I will retweet every reply, and I'll start:

I go out every workday and risk getting sick, risk infecting my roommate and my gf who has a preexisting heart condition, so I can be a part of the private sector effort to develop SARS-CoV-2 diagnostics as fast as possible

havent seen my family in months and miss them terribly

I also want to say: I dont think the private sector should be doing all or most of this work. I think our government has abjectly failed us. It should not fall to companies to see an opportunity for profit and decide that its advantageous to save the day. THIS IS NOT OKAY.

Please dont feel like your sacrifice is "selfish" or "lesser". This thread is here to honor all sacrifices, big, small, everything in between. You deserve to be heard
