I miss my humans, they’re working from home too. There are 3 people still here and if unexpected visitors appear, they have to turn them away. My first visitor was Terry the Tiger Snake. He came to read Harry Potter, he didn’t get far because he couldn’t Slytherin😂You're welcome
Terry was removed by a very nice ranger who I wish could have stayed for a chat. I tried a joke about ‘snakes in the library’ but he didn’t get my Samuel L. Jackson reference. The ranger didn’t find it funny. At all.
Silver lining – Terry is now working remotely from his log.
Last week I finally realised why all the students were gone. I have decided that @latrobe has introduced a new height requirement and only my feathered friends meets the list of short requirements. Get it? You’re a tough, socially distant crowd. 🦆
Life at La Trobe is beginning to resemble a Hitchcock film. Yesterday I saw one of my humans sitting outside eating a sandwich. And then…BAM. The crow swooped in and stole his sandwich. Things are getting out of hand here. I would have helped but, you know, I don’t have hands.🤷🏼‍♀️
I check in with my mates regularly. Heyward in Bendigo has struck gold getting some alone time AND a makeover. David Mann in A-Dubs is enjoying a break but slowly getting over it. Both Shepparton and Mildura are fine because they’re consciously coupled up with the fetching TAFE.
Finally – a new visitor! A very fetching stranger on their fly by. I wonder if we’ve acquired one of those Hogwarts winged books? I need to investigate. BRB.
It was a parrot! Why oh why didn’t I have one of my humans teach me to research? Penny, as I’ve named her, was gently shuffled out. I eavesdropped and learnt that she was after a book on her ancestor. Something about a Captain Blackbeard? 🦜🦜
Remote working is beyond me….no really, I can’t actually leave. So, like you all, I’ve dug into my things and discovered one of my baby photos. How cute am I? I’ve seen some incredible things in my life but I am finding myself sad these last few weeks. I miss my humans. 🙁
