One of my mom’s superhero qualities is that she can move to a foreign country without knowing the language and be totally okay. She immigrated from Taipei to Paris and learned French from scratch.

Years later, she packed her whole life, moved from Paris to Phoenix, and started all over again. No complaints, no fear. She did all of her major life transitions and parenting without needing a man by her side. Total badass. (Psst I’m always going to be her baby ).
