A VP cannot be arrested, nor IMO, can s/he have Military Tribunal until out of office. Unconstitutional.
The VP is elected by the people in own right, and has same Constitutional protections as POTUS.

Pence could resign privately.
Wouldn't be surprised if he already did. It seems the assassination attempts tapered off, at least the ones we were privy to.
