I’m ngl it was weird going from an all girls school to a mixed environment bc when it was just all girls, feminism was so encouraged and we were all so positively influenced by teachers and eachother and then I met boys and men and realised they don’t like us at all
I didn’t know misogyny had place in modern day society. Was kinda shocking to see men refusing to respect women or acknowledging that patriarchy had been oppressing us for literally centuries
The first time I was catcalled was terrifying bc I felt like I did something wrong. Being told I was attention seeking for bringing it up made it even worse
Men just don’t believe women in the real world. In reality they don’t care. Our experiences and opinions fall on deaf ears and it’s rlly disappointing because I expected so much more
I’m sorry for the negativity I’m just tired of being complicit. Tired of ppl defending crappy men’s actions by dismissing the issue with stupid comments like “not every man..” “some women..” “that’s generalisation..” “if the roles were reversed..”
