Is it weird to miss Diana’s POV? I get the medium doesn’t really allow for it unless they wanted to go a very Meta Veronica Mars style, but I really miss her immediate warmth and humor.

Matthew is not being played by Alex O’Loughlin, which is eternally disappointing to me and my specific preferences. The actress playing Diana has the prettiest eyes and it is extremely disconcerting to hear Alex Kingston with an American accent.

I am my first drink in and I somehow FORGOT that the main characters in this book are Diana, Matthew, and Snobby Wine. Forgive me @DebHarkness I have a vodka tonic, this was a last minute decision.

A weird flash to...Finland? Did we go to Finland in the book? I’m distracted by the Aurora in this scene and immediately I want to talk to someone about His Dark Materials and my (probably belated) realization that Phillip Pullman is an Initiate if one of the old Mystery Schools.

Matthew at the end being a punchable creeper lol. Endeth episode 1, refill booze for episode 2.

Episode 2: MATTHEW DRIVES A TESLA OF COURSE HE DOES. Amish is not played by Patton Oswalt which is, again, personally sad to me, but good casting all the same.

No spoilers but please tell me the Interspecies Yoga SAFE SPACE (except for icky humans gross) scene makes the cut for this series. ALSO NEW DRINKING GAME: Everytime a character drinks I drink. Cheers!

I’m so glad that I never read or saw Twilight because it would be annoying to constantly compare this to Twighlight, but through cultural asmosis the hunting scene is peak Twighlight.

Sock/vest/tie/pocket square EXTRA coordination? DEMON. Leather pants? DEMON. Cowboy Boots? DEMON. I’m still not sure what makes a Demon a Demon in this universe, but 75% of it is simply radiating David Bowie Energy.

Okay so this episode keeps jumping between Venice and Oxford and...having that sweet sweet Quarantine depression. I want to wander the streets of Venice and Oxford...even if there are monsters. There are monsters here, fuck it.

Granted I have only been to London once and it was wonderfully sunny then, but I feel like Oxford is deceptively sunny in this series...which is weird for a supernatural show.
