50. Royce da 5’9”

Royce is one of the best lyricists we’ve ever seen and has never dipped from that status across his consistent career. Royce will rap circles around almost anyone you put infront of him with his clever, hard-hitting bars. His maturing has also been amazing.
49. Beanie Sigel

From under the wing of Jay-Z, Beans emerged as one of the most prolific MCs from New York at the start of the new millennium. Always holds his own against anyone and has a few great projects of his own. Great emotional depth and an elite level flow.
48. A$AP Rocky

Very few MCs can compete with Flacko’s natural, smooth flow that is adaptable to any beat. Rocky’s aura and character is that of a great and his discography is one of the best of his generation. His debut mixtape is a classic and he has continued that momentum.
47. AZ

Building off the greatest guest verse of all time on Nas’ ‘Life’s A Bitch’, AZ drooped one of the most underrated albums of the ‘90s, Doe or Die. AZ’s rhymes were so intricate, and the underrated nature of his debut album is represented in his legacy, truly underrated.
46. Freddie Gibbs

Gangsta Gibbs’ flow is his best asset, he truly has one of the best flows we’ve ever heard on a mic as he fits himself perfectly on any instrumental. His drug raps are so raw and, not even counting the amazing MadGibbs albums, his discography is phenomenal.
45. LL Cool J

Often overlooked amongst his peers of the original hip hop stars. LL’s ability to adapt and evolve through era’s is something as admirable as that of Jay-Z. The first rapper to really make the women love him while giving the men dope records. A legend.
44. Big Pun

Pun is maybe the best rhymer and lyricist we’ve ever seen. His fast, fun tongue-twisting bars with a unique humour were elite. Only delivered one true classic, but Capital Punishment is potentially of the best displays of lyrical talent we’ve seen to this day.
43. Jadakiss

One of the most universally respected MCs, for good reason. His raspy delivery has delivered hard verses for over two consistent decades. From his fantastic work with The LOX to his great first two studio albums, Jada can body any rapper on a track when he’s on it.
42. Method Man

An underachiever. Has so much talent and skill, outperformed Biggie and Tupac on their own tracks and Wu-Tang trusted him to be the first one out the gate, but he could never put it together for a classic solo project. Still an elite MC and a hip hop legend.
41. Cam’Ron

The jewel in the crown of Dipset. Killa’s long career has given us multiple elite level mixtapes and albums. His presence is so felt on every track, as he tears through any type of beat put in-front of him. Less what he said, more how he said it, such unique energy.
