This SCAD email is frustrating but predictable. Here’s a list of online resources if you’re looking for art school alternatives. https://twitter.com/jessdrawz/status/1259302519781482499
Schoolism: online lectures and workshops taught by animation professionals. It’s basically skillshare but for art. You can choose a monthly subscription for $30 a month or a yearly subscription for $300 a year. https://www.schoolism.com
CGMA: Online art school with both 2D and 3D classes. It’s more structured than Schoolism, with limited spots per class and more one on one feedback. 8 week classes typically range from $600-$800. https://www.cgmasteracademy.com
For comparison, 1 class at a private art school is roughly $4,000.
IAnimate: Online courses for 3D features and video games. 11 week classes are typically $1,700.

As for figure drawing, #modeldrawingcollective sometimes streams figure drawing on Facebook. Senshistock has a huge library of poses references if you want to practice in your free time. https://m.facebook.com/ModelDrawingCollective/ https://www.deviantart.com/senshistock
If after quarantine you still don’t want to go back to art school, I highly recommend Concept Design Academy. 8 week courses range from $700-$900. I took a couple of storyboard classes there and learned a ton! http://conceptdesignacad.com/
The animation guild also offers classes. 12 week classes range from $100-$350 https://animationguild.org/about-the-guild/education/
Or, just start applying for jobs. What that SCAD email doesn’t tell you is that plenty of art school dropouts go on to have careers in animation. You might be more ready than you think!
This is certainly not a complete list, so if you’re an industry professional with other recommendations please add to the list!
