I see a lot of tweets of people sympathising with Boris having to run the country during a pandemic, “he’s doing his best” etc. and here’s why I have a problem with it: he is the pm, it’s his job, no matter who was pm rn they would also have to be running the country-

-so this doesn’t mean he’s doing a good job, or “the best he can”, bc every leader in the world rn is in the same boat, they have to run their countries, and yet almost ALL have done a better job than Boris. The UK is one of the worst hit countries in the world-

-there was more than enough scientific data showing how bad this could be and yet it was ignored, earlier and more drastic measures could have saved thousands of lives and massively softened the blow, so dont fucking tell me he’s doing a good job.
