A small thread - why Adama Traore is massively overrated.

First of all, let’s take a look at his stats. 2,072 minutes played, with 4 goals and 7 assists. These aren’t terrible stats for a winger, correct? Take a deeper look. 4 of those contributions were against the same team, so he performs well vs them. (1/?)

Goals and assists aren’t everything in a player though. Let’s look at his passes and big chances created then. He’s created 9 big chances in 2,072 minutes, meaning he makes a big chance every 230 minutes he plays. (2/?)

So let’s compare this to one of the ‘biggest PL flops this season’ Nicolas Pepe. He’s played around 500 minutes less than Traore, and scored the same amount of goals with one less assist, and this is his first year in the PL. He has also created a big chance every 227 mins. (3/?)

6/7 of Adama’s PL assists have come from crosses. When he does it, he’s a beast of a player, when Trent does it, it’s cross and inshallah. Another reason how he is overrated. (4/?)

Finally, most people who rate him are little kids who love his fifa cards. Unbelievable how that can influence people’s opinions. Willian was better than Traore this season and most Chelsea fans want William out of the club, but Traore is amazing because of his pace. (5/?)
