Firstly, to @itslowey his 2 strengths in life are drinking and twitter. He’s combined them superbly here. I’d like to say a huge personal thankyou for his help with all the boring admin; and for daring to dream with me in the first place- couldn’t have done it without you mate. X

Secondly to @t_degg02 and @WilshawPete who have also put in a huge amount of work behind the scenes, chasing people to get involved and to donate as well as offering their opinions and ideas on some posts. Thanks lads!

Next to @menzies_james for his incredibly kind gesture through JS Sports; launching “Cow 2.8” and “baxt81” T-shirt’s with all profits going to the cause- I’m sure they will be a huge success.

A special thanks to Dean Baxter, not just for the comedy value he’s provided, but also for shaving his head to scrape together more funds through our cause for our fantastic NHS.

Next, to all of our pundits, twitter won’t let me tag you all so it would be unfair to single any out- but you all know who you are. You’ve added to everyone’s enjoyment and provided a massive help with promoting the page through your (occasionally controversial) insight.

Another huge thankyou to all those that have donated- however big or small, it’s going to a fantastic cause and you can all be very proud of your generosity. I know the boys at smash the tash will be incredibly grateful.

Finally- but perhaps most importantly, massive thankyou to all those players and clubs that participated this weekend as ultimately without you, there is no competition. I think we’ve showcased what a fantastic community we are in the NSSCL.

.... as Mr Thorley eluded to earlier, although we are rivals on the pitch and we may “rub each other up the wrong way” it genuinely speaks volumes that we are all able to come together with such success at such a difficult time. It’s been emotional.... thank you all!

We aren’t finished yet though, there may be some end of competition awards to vote on and distribute....

Confirmation that the money has been transferred over to smash the tash will follow in due course.
