I don’t usually respond to these kinds of things but reading things from people who haven’t attended SCAD and as a class of 2020 grad I feel I have to. SCAD has obviously not responded to the pandemic in the best way possible. I agree that they could be more transparent and (...) https://twitter.com/jessdrawz/status/1259302519781482499
tuition should have been lowered. They have done so many things wrong. It sucks that they are guilt tripping but honestly, every single place, university and business is for profit and does not want to loose “business”. The US is built on capitalism. There’s a reason SCAD (...)
is held at the standard it is held. There’s a reason people are so invested in knowing about it
And why they are so well known. It’s because they have become the best at what they are. It is a waste of money to take most majors ONLINE. Mine is jewelry and it would be (...)

impossible to take classes ONLINE but no other place has the facilities, the professors and the network that SCAD offers.
I repeat, It’s wrong for them to try and guilt trip us into taking classes online at the same price when we don’t get those things. (...)

I loved SCAD. I love SCAD. This time in life sucks for EVERYONE. Take a break if you need to. Save yourself that money IF the classes are ONLINE. I can’t comment on places I haven’t studied at but I can say that SCAD was challenging , not (...)

everyone makes it through. It pushed me and it was hard but it was also amazing. The time you are required to invest sometimes feels ridiculous but I did what I was there to do. Learn and be surrounded by creative people. It honestly makes me cringe to say all this. I don’t (...)
support SCAD’s choices right now but I can’t just cross out everything it has done for me. The email was shitty. This semester is shitty. Not having a graduation is shitty. Everything seems shitty and having a shitty attitude about it doesn’t make it less shitty.
Everyone’s feelings over this situation are valid. SCAD should be listening to student’s concerns and necessities. They aren’t. Hopefully they will. Hopefully fall quarter isn’t online. I just don’t want my last quarter “at” SCAD to tarnish the work we all put into our degrees.
Ultimately I want to get a job.
