1. One thing is clear this war of words in Scottish football is not going to go away anytime soon. Perhaps the only route through it all is in fact an independent inquiry, at least then there can be no complaints once it is finalised and it can bring some closure.
2. I genuinely don’t believe the SPFL acted in bad faith or were up to something, as they’ve been accused of, I think they made a poor decision by tying everything together in the resolution. Rather than going through things stage by stage.
3. Rangers behaviour since then has completely undermined some of the valid criticisms they and many others have. Their conduct has only served to widen the chasm between the factions.
4. To find a solution clubs may well need to do something they might otherwise not want to, like having an inquiry. At the moment there is so much noise and it’s all conjecture, there’s only really one route to clearing these accusations.
5. Let’s not forget the clubs who have been relegated by email rather than on the park, those clubs should’ve been front and centre of the thoughts of the SPFL board when they drafted their resolution and they weren’t, therein lies the problem which has ignited all this.
