I'll post this 9 days early what the heck. This is one of my favorite Bayley photos but not for the reason you may think. This moment, after she that grabbed that briefcase, she rests her head in relief and exhaustion. Not only from the match, but the 18 months or so prior.
Her booking over that span, other than that brief run with the new tag titles, was less that great. She more or less spent that time putting over every other woman on the roster it seemed.
In addition, take into account the recent Wrestlemania loss, and what we know now what her best friend Sasha Banks was going through, and this moment is made even more special. Vindication, validation, I don't know the correct word, both and more perhaps.
That moment at the top of that ladder was a moment of true, raw emotion from Bayley. That smile, the tears, the jumping, the fist pumping, it just meant so much to her and her career, and she let that show. It certainly had an affect on me as well as a fan. I was thrilled for her
Thats what all ran through my head when I saw her that night on that ladder. Legit brought a tear to my eye, I'll never forget it. What a year its been since for her. She is truly a very special treasure in this crazy business. I'm a sheep, but a proud and loyal sheep
