Unlike some I’m not convinced what the PM laid out was especially unclear. However, it was to some extent, a tacit acceptance of the severity of UK pandemic and of certain policy failures. As success stories across Europe start to reopen, we’re not in a position to do the same.
In reality, in many respects, the world Boris Johnson is now authorising is a world which we’re probably largely in. People exercising regularly. Some lingering in public places. People who can’t work from home going to work.

Still no real sense from the govt as to what they’re going to do about the real epicentre of this disease, care homes and home care.

Clearly people are desperate to see their friends and families, nothing on that.
Also not much sense how the Prime Minister intends to navigate the emerging differences of emphasis between the nations

Going back to work but not using public transport is one of the bigger imponderables
